My Plan For Maternity Leave

With baby boy’s arrival around the corner, I wanted to take a moment to share my plans for maternity leave.

Baby boy is due in the middle of September, so I will be on maternity leave from that time through the holidays (returning January 2, 2024). To prepare, I have been transitioning all open projects to my team to ensure they are up to speed and in touch with clients directly.

As many of you may know we welcomed Gabby Moussa, who specializes in commercial real estate and partnerships, as a partner of the firm in 2023 (read our announcement here), and if you have not had the pleasure of connecting with her already Chelsea Udall, is our intellectual property specialist. While I am away Gabby and Chelsea will serve our clients with no interruption. Meet our Team.

If you are a potential client, you can schedule a consultation directly on our website with our team based on your needs.

While I will not be responding to emails, I’ve set up a plan with Will and our families to have some time to check in on my team from time to time to ensure that they have what they need to thrive (though to be honest it’s probably more for me than them).  I am so lucky to have built a team I trust completely and enjoy their friendship.

I’m grateful to my team for allowing me to step back during this exciting time for my family. Of course, I’d like to thank my husband, Will, since none of these things would be possible without his support and listening ears.

Lastly, I have decided that upon my return from maternity leave at the start of the new year, I will be specializing in our growing merger and acquisition practice, which is actually where my legal career began at a Fortune 100 technology company. I believe this transition will allow me to concentrate on nurturing my genuine belief that every business should build an exit plan for future acquisition (read the blog) and supporting our client through that process. If this is something that has been on your mind, please schedule a consultation in the new year (starting the second week of January).
